Unboxing: MSI MPG 322URX QD-OLED – 32″ 4K Gaming Monitor

A pure unboxing without evaluation – just impressions, details, and plenty of photos.

Introduction: The Moment the Box Takes the Stage

Some boxes you just tear open – and others you open like a treasure chest. From the very first glance, the packaging of the MSI MPG 322URX QD-OLED clearly belongs to the latter. The front displays the monitor with an explosion of colors, framed by the MSI dragon logo. On the top right in bold digits: 32 inches, 4K UHD (3840 × 2160). Below that, the features line up like racing sponsors: QD-OLED, 240 Hz, ultra-fast response, DisplayPort 2.1, OLED Care 2.0, and USB-C with up to 90 W. A box that says: “Something big is inside.”

Front of the box – bold, loud, confident.

Turning the package around, things become more technical: the back shows the rear of the monitor with its stand. A small note on the top edge – “Check contents if seal is broken” – makes clear that this device has been protected all the way to your door.

Back side with stand and key features.

Opening the Box: Inside the Packaging

With a clean cut through the seals, the lid lifts open. Inside: a carefully arranged Styrofoam inlay, each part snugly in its own space, every accessory wrapped in plastic. Nothing rattles, nothing shifts – it feels more like a protective vault for sensitive technology.

Everything in place – cables, stand, monitor.

Scope of Delivery

  • MSI MPG 322URX QD-OLED monitor
  • Multi-part stand (base and column)
  • Power cable
  • DisplayPort cable
  • HDMI cable
  • USB upstream cable
  • Quick start guide / documentation

Everything you need to get started is included – no need for extra purchases. Each bag has a purpose, each cardboard sleeve protects its surface. Small pictograms on the inlay remind you what not to do with an OLED panel (such as laying it flat on a hard edge).

The Stand: A Statement of Stability

Before the display itself makes an appearance, the base takes the stage. It is wide, heavy, and conveys stability the moment you lift it. The surface is matte, the edges geometric – visually clear gaming aesthetics without being over the top. A cable management hole runs through the stand, ready to tame the inevitable cable bundle later.

Solid base, tool-free mount, integrated cable routing.

The mounting plate at the top reveals the simple setup: tool-free. Snap in instead of screw in – one click, one grip, done. Exactly what you want for a 32-inch panel.

The Back: Dragons and Details

Once freed from its wrapping, the back reveals its design ambition: textured surfaces, ventilation grills, and the iconic MSI dragon on the left. It feels like armor – decorative yet functional. Above is the discreet “MSI” logo, with the stand mount below it. As the saying goes, “Form follows function” – here, both coexist in harmony.

Side Profile: Slim Where It Matters

The side view makes clear why OLED panels are so sought after: the display itself is extremely thin, while the electronics section bulges slightly at the rear. Together, they form an elegant silhouette on the desk, slim yet sturdy. The side vents blend naturally into the contour – almost organic.

Ultra-slim front with compact tech section – the OLED look.

Front View: Minimalism with Anticipation

From the front, the monitor is understated: a narrow frame, MSI logo at the bottom center, nothing more. When off, the surface shimmers faintly, catching ambient light. It’s the moment before first power-on when you pause and think, “Soon, it will show colors I’ve never seen before.” But today is just about the unboxing.

Simple and modern: a stage for content.

Assembly: From Box to Desk

Assembly is pleasantly straightforward: place the base, attach the column, snap the monitor in – the mount clicks firmly into place. A metallic “click” confirms it’s secure. Threading the cables through the stand’s opening keeps the desk tidy. Even accidental bumps don’t disturb its stability.

The pictograms on the inlay are helpful guides: don’t pull the panel, don’t lay it face down, avoid point pressure. Small reminders that prevent major mishaps. Take a moment to follow them, and setup feels like a smooth little choreography between hands, plastic, and metal.

Ports & Cables: Fully Equipped

Even though this isn’t a review, the I/O deserves a mention as part of the unboxing: HDMI, DisplayPort, USB upstream, multiple USB downstream ports, and USB-C with Power Delivery. The included cables – power, DisplayPort, HDMI, USB – cover the most common setups. It’s a relief not having to dig around for spare cables right away.

Protective Films & Rituals

No unboxing is complete without peeling off the protective films. From the stand to the column to the display edges – each pull makes a faint crackle. For a moment, it feels like rolling a brand-new car out of the garage. Perhaps a touch dramatic, but tech lives on emotion – the promise of what’s to come when the screen lights up.

Impression After Unboxing: Stage Is Set (Without Evaluation)

This account deliberately avoids performance metrics or judgments. What remains is the impression of a well-packaged, premium-looking monitor with clean lines, solid build, and easy assembly. The MSI MPG 322URX QD-OLED feels made to put content center stage and let everything else fade away.

Or, to put it poetically: “A black rectangle that wants nothing more than to make room for everything we see in it.” Today, however, the stage remains dark – the premiere comes later.
